Future vision of people walking through and enjoying the Dixonville Memorial

Dixonville Memorial Task Force

Since 2009, the Task Force has made remedial repairs to existing grave markers, installed a history sign along at the street curb, marked front corners with granite planters, restored a significant foot path that bisects the property from Old Concord Road to Lincoln School, and installed a seating area with interpretive signage at the entrance to the path. In addition, the task force has researched the physical properties of the site, which included thermal imaging of the front boundaries along Old Concord Road to ensure no unmarked graves are within this area.

Most importantly, the Task Force has carefully developed a Master Plan for a significant memorial to commemorate individuals buried in the historic Cemetery. City Council has committed $200,000 and the Task Force is initiating a capital campaign to raise the balance needed to build the memorial.
